WHAT IS LOSTIN?

Austin has grown and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Which is great. Except much of Austin’s precious cultural heritage and cache has been lost in the process.

Lostin is a unique art installation with the intent to bring some of that culture back– to preserve it for generations to come.

Located in downtown Austin during the week of SXSW, this modified vending machine contains collectible relics from Austin’s past– reimagined products based on lost minority-owned Austin businesses and institutions left behind by time. 

With each item you decide to purchase from these metal shelves, you’ll not only be keeping our city’s storied past alive, but also helping to fund programs for some of Austin’s diverse youth. All proceeds will go towards the E4 Youth nonprofit organization.
